Lab and Study Area
We are pleased to announce the opening of a computer lab to the students
in our community at a very low cost to them. We don't have very
sophisticated equipment, but we are at least able to offer three
computers with windows 1995 and above. One of our computers is also
installed with a very complete 2002 encyclopedia, which is very popular
among our students. Even though we don't have a conventional phone line
yet, we hope to install Internet via antenna if there is enough
interest. [Update: Internet was installed in 2006!]
We are so
glad to have opened up our computer lab and library to the public.
Little by little we have been acquiring textbooks, which can aid
students in their studies. Last month we bought a complete set of
encyclopedias. We have also bought the Beacon Bible commentaries of the
OT and NT and Barclay's commentaries of the NT thanks to your gifts. It
is a sad statistic, but the average Mexican only reads one book a year.
We would like to encourage young readers by adding historical and good
fiction books to our collection. We would be happy to receive any books
written in Spanish as a donation to our library and/or money donations
that we could use towards purchasing more books.
