"WALKING TOGETHER" Ministry Program

 

Sponsoring Mazahua pastors and missionaries through prayer, encouragement, and a monthly care package of $20 dollars

 

 

Romans 10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

 

                Angela was an MVM student while in high school. She was a talkative and outgoing girl. She graduated in 2000 and disappeared for awhile. About a year ago she surprised us, showing up on our doorstep announcing proudly that because of what she had seen and learned while at the MVM she had dedicated her life to the Lord and was serving as a missionary in three small remote communities in the neighboring state of Michoacan where walking is the main mode of transportation.

                Since then, she has dropped by periodically to share with us her struggles, joys, and triumphs. Whenever she comes, we send her off with a small offering. This last time, we couldn't resist asking how she covers her personal expenses, "faith", she quickly replied. She went on to share how one day she found herself without a cent in her pocket to pay for her bus fare to the next village. "As God's servant, I couldn't ask for money, so I asked all the women I saw if they needed someone to wash clothes for 10 pesos."  It's hard for us to imagine that 10 pesos, the equivalent of $1 dollar, could make a difference, but it can and it does!

                Mazahua pastors and missionaries are already hard at work evangelizing and planting new churches. The majority continue to preach the Gospel with little financial compensation. For them it is a privilege to be ambassadors of our heavenly Father. Walking Together is a ministry which strives to lift their financial, spiritual, and emotional burden by walking beside them, sharing in their ministry, listening to their struggles and dreams, and above all praying for their needs. We invite you to participate in this opportunity to enrich your lives by walking together, blessing one another through prayer and sharing your stories and testimonies of faith. It is a blessing which flows both ways and will change your life forever!
