MVM Founders and Directors The Dominguez Family

Sally and Tacho with children Jacob, Adriana, and Neomi

Tacho and Sally first met in 1990 while working at Mazahua Mission. We both discovered that God had put in our hearts a great burden for and desire to serve the Mazahua people together. After spending a year in the United States , we returned to Mexico in 1993 as independent missionaries primarily supported by Calvary Lutheran Church with a new vision of founding a mission in the northern part of the Mazahua region where the Gospel was relatively new. The MVM officially opened its doors in 1998 as a Christian boarding home for high school students, but the MVM is much more than that.

"Christian Community" is a good description of our life at the MVM. Sally lived her first years with her family of seven in a parsonage in Seattle , WA where her father was a pastor and later in Minneapolis , MN . Tacho, growing up with ten siblings in Mexico had a similar experience. Our life as missionaries in Mexico has not changed much from those early days. God was preparing us since childhood for a life of ministry and service for His glory. Our home at the MVM is an open door where everyone is welcomed and treated as children of a loving Father.  On an average day there are 20-30 people eating around the dinner table, sharing chores and other responsibilities. Pastors, neighbors, and friends come and go constantly. Our day starts at 7am when students are getting ready for school and staff preparing for 8am devotions. Home schooling for the Dominguez children begins at 9am. God has blessed us with wonderful children who love the commotion of our busy household and participate enthusiastically!

MVM Administrators The Eugenio Family

Samuel and Eva with children Abigail, Uziel, and Jenny

We are blessed to have Samuel and Eva Eugenio Reyes as MVM administrators. They are both from the Mazahua area and read, write, and speak Mazahua. Their family came to live with us at the MVM in January 1997 when we were still building the facilities and their children were in elementary school. We met Samuel when he was working on the translation and dubbing for the Jesus movie from Spanish to Mazahua with Campus Crusade for Christ at Mazahua Mission. Before that he worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators translating the Scriptures and hymns into Mazahua. Samuel and Eva are both pastors with the Assemblies of God churches and graduates of the Mazahua Valley Bible Institute (MVBI). Samuel continues to teach classes at the MVBI. Abigail is studying nursing at the University of the State of Mexico in Toluca, Uziel is a senior in high school and Jenny is a sophomore. (2006)
